Hey guys, I thought I'd come here to seek some advice.

I am in a 16 team league (among others)

I drafted 16th overall and after several trades and pickups I am sitting with the following:

Jay Cutler
Brandon Marshall, Wes Welker, Santonio Holmes, Robert Meachem
Adrian Peterson, Chris Johnson, Tim Hightower, Dominic Rhodes, Steve Slaton, Pierre Thomas, Darren Sproles (yes, I am hording RB's)
Tony Scheffler
Steven Gostkowski
Chicago D/ST

Standard scoring league and I'm 2-0 thus far.

I received the following trade offer:

I get Jamal Lewis and I give Darren Sproles.

Not sure if either would be a starter for my team. I see Jamal as a workhorse with a few tough weeks in a row. Sproles though could be an absolute BEAST if LT misses any time.

I'm leaning towards keeping Sproles, but I'm curious as to what value you guys are getting for Sproles in a trade?

Perhaps I can package him and Chris Johnson for a top round back like Gore?

nice team mcpaul especially for 16 teams and drafting last. nice job on landing peterson

team looks solid the way it is. think i would hold on to sproles for another week or so to see what happens or like u said try packaging him with johnson to get someone even better.

but taking lewis shouldnt hurt your team either. he is a workhorse and is going to get plenty of touches

im not a big fan of tennessee rbs every year its inconsistent but with young out could mean more running?? or more passing since collins can throw the ball. . . . well have to wait and see

last year chris brown opened up week 1 with 175 yards against jax but week 2 had 34 yards and didnt score a td till week 5 by week 10 lendale white took over as rb then chris henry as the back up only 11 rushing attempts 8 to white for 12 yards and 3 to henry for -2 yards in week 10

week 1 in 2006 brown had 64 yards but travis henry had 2 tds by week 10 henry was starter had 107 yards 1 td brown didnt even play (might have been injured cant remember)

my point pretty much is that the titans are consistent with their running game. always seem to have a star early followed by a big change

as good as johnson looks i thought the same thing about brown last year and now i think he is a back up or 3rd string for the texans

Thanks Mark.

yeah, AP and Marshall were landed in a trade. I gave Lynch, MJD, Santana Moss and Vince Young to the Redskins fan in our league.

I've got the same concern about CJ as you, and want to package him in a trade for another back.

I've just offered CJ and Sproles for Gore, but I don't think that'll be enough.

I've also counter-offered the above trade to CJ for Jamal Lewis. We'll see what that does.

This trade really comes down to whether or not you think Chris Johnson will be an adequate #2 this season. I think he's just fine for a 16-team league. Lewis isn't a huge upgrade over CJ and Sproles could be the top fantasy back if LT's injuries keep him off the field.

Alright, it looks like the Lewis owner accepted my counter offer of CJ for Jamal.

I will now post up Sproles to starter status and wait for a good week from Jamal to repackage him for someone else.
